“Every good deed is charity. Verily, it is a good deed to meet your brother with a cheerful face…” [Sunan al-Tirmidhī 1970].
Orphan Sponsorship Scheme
Why not organise a sports event for your family, friends, and work colleagues to raise funds? Charge a few pounds for the “ticket” and hold a closing ceremony to congratulate the winning teams. Your contribution will make a difference.
Turn your home or office into a movie theatre. Choose your favourite movie and start selling tickets to a screening at your own home or office. Ask your friends to bring lots of snacks so that everyone has a good evening. Then make sure to spread the word on our work.
Ask your school or company to match the funds you raise with a contributory donation. Some may already have a gift matching scheme; others may be inspired to start one – especially if you can get your local paper involved.
Get creative today. Write a short letter to 10 or more friends about why you support Aryana Aid. Explain in one paragraph what our charity does, what your letter means, and ask for a small donation to put towards your goal. Thank everyone who replies and, why not, challenge them to do the same.
One way to help us is by sharing our online updates and causes on your social media. You can also take recent press cuttings about Afghanistan and pin them to your school or office board, with our information attached. Be the change we need in the world.
Fun and simple. All you have to do is get your friends, family and colleagues together for a charity bake sale. Make sure to hand out Aryana Aid’s website info so that everyone is aware of our projects, our 100% donation policy, and how to get involved further.
